It does not solve blocked valleys, failed flashings or bad roof plumbing. Those get addressed during the work if they are present, because a coating over an unresolved leak is money wasted.

Should a terracotta roof be painted?
Usually not. Glazed terracotta has a hard fired surface that coatings struggle to bond to, and a painted terracotta roof tends to peel. Those roofs are better served by cleaning, replacing broken tiles and repointing the ridge lines.
How long does a roof restoration take?
